EXPERIENCE
Kevin Morin has more than 30 years of experience in the fields of hydrogeology, geochemistry, environmental impact assessment, and computer modelling related to mining and industrial activity. He specializes in the design and implementation of field and laboratory studies and in the development and utilization of conceptual and mathematical models for the environmental and geological sciences. This experience encompasses approximately 300 proposed, operating, and closed mining operations, more than twenty industrial sites, four commercial/urban developments, and seven detailed computer programs. These projects have been located on all continents of the world, except Antarctica, and in widely diverse biogeoclimatic zones.
Dr. Morin is an author or co-author of more than 90 publications and Internet case studies on various aspects of geochemistry, contaminant migration, hydrogeology, waste management, and environmental protection. He is also co-author of the first textbook on drainage chemistry from various minesite components, entitled Environmental Geochemistry of Minesite Drainage: Practical Theory and Case Studies. His professional positions in university, consulting, research, and regulatory enforcement provide a wide expertise in overall environmental management and protection.
Dr. Morin is a registered Professional Geoscientist in the Province of British Columbia and Licensed Hydrogeologist in the U.S. State of Washington. He is a member of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (Canadian National Chapter) and the Association of Groundwater Scientists and Engineers of the National Ground Water Association.

EXPERIENCE
Nora Hutt is a Chemical and Environmental Technologist and sole proprietor of Normar Enterprises. For more than 18 years, she has applied techniques of data collection, compilation, interpretation and reporting, and is familiar with a wide variety of analytical techniques and procedures. Nora has been responsible for numerous field investigations of organic and inorganic contaminants, and the use of computers and a variety of software packages for environmental studies.
For more than 17 years Nora has focussed on the area of minesite drainage evaluation and long-term geochemical prediction. This work includes on-site sampling of water and rock, data management and compilation, graphical presentation of data, and interpretation and reporting of analytical testing such as long-term kinetic tests. Representative projects include acid rock drainage (ARD) assessments, surface water evaluations, metal leaching into natural waters, literature reviews, and report development. Clients include industry, government agencies, research organizations, and other consulting firms.
Prior to working in the area of minesite drainage, Nora was the Principal Investigator on three projects which involved the Priority Substance List (PSL) compounds as identified under Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA). She has also participated in a study which reviewed and classified contaminated sites in the Pacific/Yukon Region under the National Contaminated Sites Assessment Program. In addition, Nora was involved in several organic contaminant water and soil sampling programs and assessments.
Nora is co-author on a technical book entitled Environmental Geochemistry of Minesite Drainage: Practical Theory and Case Studies. In addition, she has also co-authored more than 20 chemistry-related publications and has been involved in numerous projects around the world. Nora is registered with the Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of British Columbia as a Applied Science Technologist (AScT), and is a registered certified Chemical Technologist (cCT) with the Canadian Society for Chemical Technology.
EXPERIENCE
Ms. Shirley Hutt is the sole proprietor of Ocean Bound Enterprises. She has supervised and conducted technical and commercial projects involving data entry, data compilation, and sample testing management. These projects have included the creation and management of spreadsheets containing hundreds of thousands of values. Shirley is familiar with a variety of software packages including spreadsheet, word processing and graphics programs.
In the area of minesite-drainage evaluation and long-term geochemical prediction, Shirley Hutt's work includes on-site sampling of mine rock and tailings, data management and compilation, graphics generation, and ongoing maintenance of analytical testing such as long-term kinetic tests. Representative projects include acid rock drainage (ARD) assessments, surface water evaluations, metal leaching into natural waters, and literature reviews.
